The Board of Directors governs the Hillsboro School District by a set of written policies. These policies and Board regulations are designed to give direction to the Board members and the district employees, and are available to district staff, parents, citizens and others as requested at each school or site.
The formal adoption of policies is done by Board vote and recorded in the minutes of the Board meeting. Policy adoption or revision is prepared by staff to ensure the District board considers statute, case law, Oregon Department of Education regulations, and negotiated employee contracts.
