Summer Lunch Program

Once again this year, the District Nutrition Services Department is revving up to provide free lunches to children throughout the community.  This effort ensures children are receiving at least one nutritious meal per day through the summer.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture,  was established to create a process for children to continue receiving nutritious meals when school is not in session. Free meals, that meet Federal nutrition guidelines, are provided to all children 18 years old and under at approved SFSP sites in areas with significant concentrations of low-income children.

Lunches will be offered at the locations listed on the attached flyer, Monday through Friday, from June 16 through August 15,  with no service on July 4.
