Mission

Leveraging collaborative structures to develop the tools and resources in order to ensure that teachers have what they need to teach the Common Core State Standards.

  What are PLCs?

Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are collaborative structures where teachers come together with the support of a District facilitator to design standards based on the new Common Core State Standards. Teachers will, as a result, leave a PLC with the teaching tools necessary to feel successful in their day-to-day instruction. Products created from PLCs, will be stored, cataloged, and available to all teachers in the Hillsboro School District.

How will I teach it?

Developing the tools and strategies designed to teach the knowledge and skills within each standard
