Welcome to the Hillsboro School District. We are pleased that you have chosen to become part of our thriving community. Serving more than 20,000 students in Grades K-12, our District is focused on providing a strong academic foundation for every child to ensure their success through their school years and beyond.
We have strong partnerships with local city and county agencies, chambers of commerce and large and small businesses. Collectively, these agencies and businesses offer an abundance of resources and information to make relocating to Hillsboro a smooth transition.

Getting started:
Identify your child’s home school
As a new resident, the first thing you should do is to confirm the “home school(s)” for your child(ren). Please call the District’s Transportation Department at 503-844-1123 with your home address to determine your “home school(s).”
Register your child
To begin registration, call ahead for an appointment or visit your "home school" during office hours. For a list of all Hillsboro schools and contact information, click here.
Provide required documentation
Below is a checklist of what we would like for you to bring to the school in order to make the registration process as smooth as possible.

Transfers:
If you would like to request attendance at a school other than your “home school,” you will need to complete a transfer request. There are two processes: 1) in-district, for requests to schools within the Hillsboro School District; and 2) inter-district, for requests to schools outside the Hillsboro School District (i.e., Beaverton or Forest Grove School Districts).
