Glencoe Tidettes Dance Team Auditions!

Auditions are Wednesday, May 19th, Thursday, May 20th  and Friday May 21st from 6 – 9 pm in the Glencoe HS Main gym.  Candidates must be able to make all three nights.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
1)   Clothing – Come to Auditions dressed in form-fitting clothing with your hair pulled back from your face.  Bring sports shoes or dance shoes with socks. Bring a water bottle as well.
2)   Preparation - We will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know during the 3 nights.
3)   Evaluation – The MOST important items we will look at are your GRADES, SCHOOL ATTENDANCE and your ATTITUDE. This is due to the fact that we need strong team members who uphold our standards and don’t jeopardize the team’s success. We are also obviously looking at your dance skills, coordination, flexibility, and rhythm.  Other considerations include: the ability to learn and be coached without frustration, the desire to better yourself no matter what level dancer you are, aerobic fitness, the ability to work cooperatively and positively with others, promptness and use of time during auditions.

Being a member of the Tidettes is a fun and rewarding experience.  The team schedule includes performing at school assemblies, halftime at home football games, local parades, basketball games, local competitions and the OSAA State Championships the week prior to spring break next March. 

Each performer will need to make sure they arrive at 5:45 pm the first night of auditions with the following items to hand back to us:
* Audition registration packet signed by both student and parents
* Hillsboro School District Activity form showing Medical insurance information
*A copy of their 1st semester grades and attendance
(Note: Registration packet and activity form are available in Michelle Frank's office, Kathy Fleskes' office and the main office at Evergreen Middle School.)

Sorry, but auditions are closed to family and friends. Parents may come at the beginning to ask any questions they might have, but may not stay and watch.
