Automotive Service Technology Focused Program of Study

The HilHi Automotive Technology Program offers students an opportunity to learn new skills. The program is a combination of classroom theory and hands on shop activities. Students learn about the cooling system, charging system, lubrication system, brake system, starting systems and late model computerized engine controls. Students will work on a combination of shop vehicles, and classroom training aids. This program is for students desiring advanced automotive training. By successfully completing Auto I with an A or B the student can receive PCC credit. For greater depth students take Electronics, Auto 2, Auto 3, Auto 4 and Auto 5 including an internship. Students who complete the whole sequence earn a CAM in Automotive. This is an excellent foundation for continuing education in automotive at college. Or entry level in industry.

Students can earn college credit while still in high school. By participating in our internships you can explore the world of work to see if Auto Mechanics is the career for you. This class provides a good knowledge base of automotive systems. You learn useful skills that apply to many career fields. Lots of hands-on activities make learning fun. |
