Hillsboro High School Students Speak to Crowd of 5,000 at Stand For Children Presidents Day RallyDavis Sam and Kyle Carnes, seniors in the student leadership program at Hillsboro High School, addressed a crowd of over 5,000 at the Stand for Children Rally for Education on the steps of the State Capitol building in Salem on February 16th. They encouraged Oregon State legislators to remember the importance of adequate education funding as they meet to balance the budget this week. Over 60 Hilhi students attended the rally, along with teachers Amanda Ryan and Kim Bliss. |
