Hillsboro High School Spartan Marching Band Takes 1st Place in Single A Division at Sunset Classic
Saturday, September 27th marked the opening of Marching Competitive Season. Hilhi Band placed 1st in preliminary competition in the Single A division also earning recognition for High General Effect and the High Visual Award. The marching band and 10 member Auxiliary took the field to perform their 2008 season show Entitled "X" consisting of 3 movements. X-ageration, X-haustion and X-plosion. The Spartans placed 8th over all of 12 bands in the Open finals competition.
Upcoming competitions include this coming Saturday, October 4th Hillsboro Marching Invitational, October 18th MacKenzie Classic, October 25th at Oregon State University and the State Championships held on November 1st at the University of Oregon.
