Scope of Work

  • Please note that project costs and schedules may fluctuate due to cost of materials and labor, conditions at the site, unforeseen and/or revised scope, and other factors. Project costs: $17.3 million

    COMPLETED

    • Boiler Replacement

    The aging boiler was replaced for more efficient operation. This project was completed in summer 2018.

    • Improvements

    Over the summers of 2019 and 2020, as well as during the 2020-21 school year when students were not present, R.A. Brown underwent building renovations and upgrades. These improvements include:

      • Safety and security upgrades
        • Improved main entrance with secure entry
        • Security cameras
        • Card key access
        • Strobes
        • Visual warning inside and outside building
        • Distributed antenna system (DAS)
      • Interior/exterior painting
      • Seismic upgrades
      • Roofing upgrades
      • Add air conditioning
      • HVAC direct digital controls
      • Domestic water pipe replacement
    • New Furniture

    After its renovations, the school received new furniture (FFE) in summer 2020 that is known to enhance the learning environment and increase student engagement.
