    The Cultural Coalition of Washington County (CCWC) is the re-granting board of the Oregon Cultural Trust in Washington County. Monies donated to the Cultural Trust come back to the County and are distributed as grants to cultural non-profits per the Washington County Cultural Plan. Youth access to the arts and supporting cultural and heritage learning are among the goals of the Coalition. If you are interested and have a great idea that will support arts and culture in Washington County, visit the CCWC website. The online 2019 application process begins in September and closes in early October 2018.

    Each year, the Hillsboro Schools Foundation awards up to $50,000 in grants to support innovative projects in Hillsboro schools. Application materials will be available in January 2018 for the 2018 award cycle, which involves submitting an abstract in January, being invited to continue in the process, attending a grant writing workshop in February, and submitting a full proposal by early April. Grant award announcements are made in late May, and funds are available July 1, 2018, for the 2018-19 school year. Watch this informative video to learn more!

    Trex Recycle Challenge 2017-18 - Schools compete nationally to collect the most plastic film (e.g. grocery bags, ziploc bags, produce bags etc.). Official start date is America Recycles Day - November 15. Final tallies due April 15.  Winners announced on Earth Day - April 22.
