Annual Panther Dash

  • Our annual Panther Dash, jog-a-thon, is just around the corner! As in previous years, this will be one of our most SIGNIFICANT fundraisers for the year. We will still have small fundraisers like the restaurant nights, and the silent auction at the dinner dance, but the Panther Dash will provide for the majority of the Booster Club’s budget.

    The Booster Club supports the following areas: Classroom support (teacher supplies, field trips), Library, literacy, math & science funds, School clubs (chess, drama, science, Oregon Battle of the Books), Community events (carnival, bingo night, movie night, panther splash, parents and pastries), Staff appreciation week, Science Fair, Talent Show and Reading Race. In addition, it will provide Patterson with funding for playground improvements this year! Last year we were able to buy new Chrome Books!

    Our fundraising goal for 2018 is $17,500, which sounds high, but remember because you are not purchasing “goods”, your jog-a-thon pledges will be 100% tax deductible. Many of our parents work for companies that will match these donations. These benefits will stretch your dollars even farther.
    The Panther Dash is a big event at the school. The classes will be “teams” with names and themes. They will be encouraged to dress up for the Patterson Dash and create team posters to decorate the halls. We will have prizes for varying pledge levels and class parties for the highest class funds raised and the highest class pledge participation.

    Keep in mind that this is the most SIGNIFICANT fund-raising activity for the school year.  Please participate and check with your employer to see if matching contribution funds are available.

    Deadline to turn in envelops and pledge forms is on Friday, October 5th, 2018
