Getting Ready

  • This is our primary fundraiser of the year. Here is what you can do to help us get ready:

    1. Collect pledges from family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. They can be flat donations or pledges per lap completed. We do not encourage door to door soliciting as we want to keep the students safe.
Keep track of your pledges on your collection envelope. Make checks payable to Patterson Booster Club.
    2. Parents, Grandparents, and other relatives are invited to school Friday, September 28th to run beside their students or cheer them on from the side line.
    3. Volunteers are needed to help! Please sign up to mark laps, fill water cups, collect lap counting labels, hand out Otter Pops, or count lap cards and record laps. A sign-up sheet will be in the office starting on September 19th or look for an email from Patterson’s Volunteer Coordinator.
    4. Please note that the bus loop area on the back side will be closed during the time students are running.
    5. Students need to return pledge envelopes to their teachers no later than Friday, October 5th with their collected donations. Do not turn them in before the event. The number of laps completed by the students will be provided after the event for pledge collections.
    6. Students will win cool prizes for different amounts of donations they earn!
    7. Each class will come up with a theme, posters and costumes to increase enthusiasm in the event.
    8. Class pizza parties for the highest earning class AND the class with the greatest participation (based on the percentage of kids with at least one pledge).
    9. The “Golden Spirit Awards” will be awarded to the primary and intermediate classes with the most spirit at the Panther Dash (based on dressing up, theme, poster and enthusiasm) and a popcorn party!

*Raffle will be for some great toys and gift cards. Check out the display case at the front of the school.
