  • Community Message
    The Hillsboro School District Board of Directors and Superintendent are seeking committed community members, who are demographically representative of the student population, to serve on two district committees. Our district values the perspectives of community members who understand the experiences, perspectives, assets, and needs of our diverse students. 

    The Community Curriculum Advisory Committee (CCAC) serves as a resource to the Board and Superintendent in setting the direction for long-range curriculum development and assisting in the development of the schools' curriculum and instructional programs.     The Budget Committee comprises the District’s seven elected School Board members, and seven members appointed by the Board, who review the district's budget. Applications are due Monday, Nov. 1, 2022. Download the application here: English | Español

    El Distrito Escolar de Hillsboro está reclutando a miembros de la comunidad para servir en los comités de la Mesa Directiva. Por favor, haganle llegar la siguiente información a las personas interesadas de su organización.

    La Mesa Directiva y el superintendente del Distrito Escolar de Hillsboro están buscando a miembros de la comunidad comprometidos, que sean demográficamente representativos de la población estudiantil, para servir en dos comités  el distrito. Nuestro distrito valora las perspectivas de los miembros de la comunidad que entienden las experiencias, perspectivas, recursos y necesidades de nuestra diversidad de estudiantes.

    El Comité Comunitario Asesor de Currículo (CCAC) sirve como un recurso para la Mesa Directiva y el superintendente al establecer la dirección que debe tomar el desarrollo del currículo a largo plazo y ayudar en el desarrollo de programas curriculares y de instrucción de las escuelas.     El Comité de Presupuesto está compuesto por los siete miembros electos de la Mesa Directiva del distrito y siete miembros nombrados por la Mesa Directiva, quienes revisan el presupuesto del distrito. Principal's Message

  • Jamie LentzDear Patterson Families,

    It is with great pride and excitement that I am the Principal of Patterson Elementary School. I am excited to bring my skills as an educational leader to your son’s/daughter’s school and to collaborate with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success.

    Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Patterson by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners.  We will focus on character education initiatives through Positive Behavior Intervention Support, Capturing Kids Hearts, fostering a nurturing safe environment for children, use of data to inform instruction, consistent implementation of newly adopted English Language Arts to increase students’ achievement, by providing exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities for all students.

    The diverse student population at Patterson Elementary School provides everyone with an awareness and appreciation for all cultures. The Patterson staff are passionate, dedicated educators who set high standards of achievement so our young scholars can be successful. We are determined to drive rigorous engagement in literacy, writing, math, and science, and provide individualized opportunities for student growth. To ensure this happens, we collaborate regularly around student learning, challenge one another, and seek to continuously improvement in teaching and learning. We set high expectations for ourselves and our young scholars, and work together in the process of achieving those expectations.

    Thank you for trusting us with the education and caring development of your child. If you have questions or concerns that arise at any time, please do not hesitate to give your child’s teacher or me a call. Family support is a critical link to student achievement. We want to hear from you!
