Scope of Work

  • Please note that project costs and schedules may fluctuate due to cost of materials and labor, conditions at the site, unforeseen and/or revised scope, and other factors. Total cost: $34.2 million (includes planning/permitting, architectural design and construction costs).

    COMPLETED

    • Protective Netting

Protective netting was added to the turf field to prevent balls from escaping outside the field into the adjacent swale.

    • New School

Using the replacement Brookwood Elementary School design as the prototype, Atfalati Ridge Elementary is a new, 73,500 sq. ft., two-story school that was constructed in the Sunset Ridge development of North Plains. This new campus provides another school to serve the area along with the existing North Plains Elementary School, and accommodate the potential additional students in the growing area.

Construction began with an early start for preliminary site work in spring 2020, followed by building construction and continued site work through summer 2021.

Although an earlier timeline of construction was being considered, enrollment projections indicated that the existing North Plains Elementary School had the capacity to serve North Plains area students through the 2020-2021 school year. The original timeline was maintained and the new school opened to students in September 2021.
