Tuesday, September 7th

    Pictures in the gymnasium – Chromebooks in the Main Building – Schedules in the New Portables!

    Middle School and High School students are invited to come to our campus at 452 NE 3rd to pick up their schedule, and get their picture taken, (and ID)!  It is also the day to bring in your old Chromebook and switch it for a BRAND NEW CHROMEBOOK!!!!! Doesn’t matter where you checked it out! Please be sure to bring the charge cord.  You DO NOT have to bring back a HOT SPOT if you checked one out last year….they are good to continue for this school year!

    Middle School and High School Teachers will be here to give out schedules and Chromebooks, and to field any initial questions you might have about SCHOOL at Hillsboro Online.  For returning students…. come get your stuff and say HI! Teaching staff is mostly the same as last year!

Wednesday, September 8th

  • MEET YOUR TEACHER  -  PICTURE DAY  -  CHROMEBOOK CHECK-OUT

    Kinder-3rd Grade:     9:00 am - 12:00 pm

    Grades 4, 5 & 6:        12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

    Elementary students are invited to come to our campus at 452 NE 3rd to meet their teacher and get their picture taken!  It is also the day to bring in your old Chromebook and switch it for a BRAND NEW CHROMEBOOK.  If you are a new student, you can check out a Chromebook for school!

    Teachers will be located in the new, (to HOA), portable classrooms at the south end of our campus.  There are 4 classrooms, just look for the sign indicating the grade for your student! Teachers will be sharing information specific to their particular grade.  After meeting the teacher, you and your student may head to the gymnasium for pictures or to the Chromebook Checkout Station located behind the main HOA building, (right next to the playground).You are not required to have pictures taken, but they are offered this year!

Suggested Supply LIst

  • The following is a suggested list, we encourage families to first utilize supplies within the home.

    Note: As your student moves through their curriculum you may find they need additional supplies, such as spiral notebooks or a three ring binder.  Each student is unique and may require extra items to support learning or stay organized.  We encourage you to purchase minimal supplies at first and add more as needed.  Please reach out to your student’s teacher if you need help gathering supplies or have questions.

    ELEMENTARY:

    • laptop  or Chromebook, which can be checked out from HOA.  If your student has a school Chromebook checked out from last sure, please plug it in, charge it  and check to make sure it is in working order.
    • pencils
    • markers or crayons
    • paper for writing and drawing
    • various household items may be needed on occasion such as baking soda and vinegar for a science experiment. Anything not typically found at home or not easily attainable at a grocery store will be supplied by school, for example litmus paper for an acid/base lab
    • access to a printer (there may be a small amount of printing in the Kindergarten-2nd grades.  Items can also be  printed at school, contact your student’s teacher and they can arrange printing and a pick up time.)

     

    SECONDARY:

    • laptop  or Chromebook, which can be checked out from HOA.  If your student has a school Chromebook checked out from last sure, please plug it in, charge it  and check to make sure it is in working order.
    • pencils/pens
    • notebooks (1 per class for taking notes during lessons)
    • markers or crayons
    • ruler
    • calculator
    • access to a printer (Items can also be  printed at school, contact your student’s teacher and they can arrange printing and a pick up time.) 
    • some courses will ask for specific items that can be found under the course's "Course Information>Materials" page

School Meals

  • Complete meals for the 2021/22 school year are served at no cost to all students at all schools regardless of eligibility status. Single milk purchases outside of a meal are $0.75. Additional benefits may be available when approved for federal free meals.

    As part of the National School Lunch Program, some students may be eligible for a free or reduced price lunch. All families wishing to receive free or reduced-price meals must complete a new application each school year. It can take up to 10 days to process an application. Please provide a lunch or money for a paid lunch until you receive notice that the application is approved. Any meal charges accrued prior to approval are not reversible.

Online Verification is OPEN!

  • What is Online Verification?
    Parents/Guardians review and update information for students currently attending Hillsboro School District.  Having accurate contact information for parents is critical for communicating school and district news, as well as attendance and emergency notifications.  Only one parent/guardian can complete the verification process.

    Login to your ParentVUE account. Click on the Online Registration tab in the top right hand corner and then select 2021-2022 Verification.

    Don’t have a ParentVUE account?
    Contact your student’s school for an activation key.

     

    Forgot your ParentVUE Password?

    1. Click Forgot Password.
    2. Enter the email address that is registered with your ParentVUE account, click Send Email.
    3. Open the email and select the Click here to change password link.
    4. Enter the First Name and Last Name exactly as it displays in the account.
    5. Enter New Pasword and Confirm New Password.  Click Change Password.
