Non-Profit Organizations

Churches and fraternal organizations provide consistent support to our students and schools through weekend food backpack programs, grounds maintenance projects, shelter and clothing support, provision of scholarships, and so on. Other organizations, such as The Right Brain Initiative, work with our schools to provide enrichment opportunities—in this case, in the arts—to our students by leveraging partnerships, grant dollars and donations to achieve maximum impact.

The Hillsboro Schools Foundation (HSF): a private non-profit organization whose mission is to raise private funds to enhance public education.  Through three major events each year—the Annual Gala & Auction Event, Tony’s Tourney Golf Tournament, and Annual Phone-A-Thon—HSF raises money, which it then distributes in the form of innovative education grants and direct donations to school clubs and teams in the Hillsboro School District.  If you would like to make a donation in support of innovative education grants or if you need for your donation to go to an organization that is tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, please visit HSF on the web at: http://hsfonline.org.

Assistance League: non-profit chapters are designed to serve unique needs and challenges of each local community. To watch a recent, short news segment demonstrating their great work: click here.
