Overview

The Business Department is responsible for the global fiscal management of the Hillsboro School District. This responsibility necessitates the oversight of the District's budget. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Finance Department is organized under the following divisions:

  • Fiscal operations and accounting
  • Staff benefits & payroll
  • District and school budgets
  • Risk management
Michelle Morrison

Michelle Morrison is the Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for the Business Office, Payroll and Benefits. She has worked for the Hillsboro School District since 2011, when she was hired as the Director of Business Services. Prior to that, she was Business Manager for the Yamhill Carlton School District. Michelle is an active member of the Oregon Association of School Business Officials.  She is also involved with the Leadership Hillsboro Advisory Council and the School-to-Career Intern Program with the Chamber of Commerce.

Jeff Jones

Jeff Jones is the Manager of Business Services with responsibility for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and oversight of the financial responsibilities for District Grant Funds. He has worked for the Hillsboro School District since 2012, when he was hired as the Grant Fiscal Planning Specialist. Prior to that, he was an Auditor for Talbot, Korvola & Warwick LLP. Jeff is an active member of the Oregon Association of School Business Officials.
