Oct. 9, 2026 - Reunification Drill

Parent and Student Volunteers Needed for Reunification Drill

Our number one priority and goal in HSD is ensuring our students, staff, and schools are as safe as possible. To make that happen, we leverage a network of adults, systems, structures, strategic community partnerships, and protocols.

One of those protocols is conducting drills to practice our actions in the event of an emergency.

On Friday, October 9, District staff will run a reunification drill to follow the steps we would take if students needed to be moved to an alternate location and reunited with their family through a controlled release process.

To make the drill as realistic and useful as possible, we need both parent and student volunteers!

STUDENT SIGN UP FORMS

Student participants are asked to sign-up in advance using their school-specific form (Hillsboro Online and Oak Street Campus students - please use the form associated with your home high school). Students can earn volunteer credits for their participation!

Parents can indicate their availability with their student’s registration or can email Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Manager Adela Rios directly.  Thank you!

¡Gracias!
