Special Education Advisory Committee

The Hillsboro School District partners with Families who's students experience disability through the SEAC, or (Special Education Advisory Committee)

Core purpose
To serve as an advisory and advocacy body that supports students with special needs and their families by collaborating with district staff, sharing information, and providing a space for listening and dialogue on matters related to special education/504 plan services in our community.

Who we are and who we serve
The parents/guardians and students enrolled in all Hillsboro School District programs and services seeking support for disability related challenges. 

Who we collaborate with

• Staff and administration at HSD
• Experts and professionals working in the field of education (special emphasis on special needs)
• PTA
• Student Services
• Families/Students eligible for 504 services
• Transition Services
• Early Childhood Special Education
