Featured Students: Meet HSD’s New Student Board Representatives

At their meeting on Tuesday, September 22, HSD’s School Board administered the oath of office to our three new Student Representatives: Ethan Hernandez Jimenez of Century, Keeton Sayre of Liberty, and Ma’Kaia Woods of Hillsboro Online Academy. While the positions are advisory in nature and don’t carry voting authority, the ceremonial swearing-in is an important part of how the Board has elevated the role and voice of students since first welcoming Student Reps in the 2018-19 school year. Welcome and congratulations, Ethan, Keeton, and Ma’Kaia! You’ve already contributed so much to our Board meetings and we look forward to learning more from you throughout the year.
