Century’s Health Science Students Visit Western Oregon University

Just before winter break, juniors in Century’s Health Science Program visited Western Oregon University for a campus tour including a visit to the cadaver lab, hosted by the amazing Dr. LeMaster. Students learned about the advanced Anatomy & Physiology course in which they will dissect the cadavers, and were quizzed using the Anatomage table and the cadaver. The seniors were invited to view a heart surgery where they observed an aortic valve replacement conducted by the distinguished Dr. Ott. After viewing the surgery, Dr.Ott quizzed the group on aspects of the surgery. As usual, CHS students were on top of it! Later, Dr. Ott was available to chat individually with the students who took advantage of the opportunity to network with the surgical team.
