Glencoe Choir Performs at State Chamber Music Contests

Congratulations to students from Glencoe High School who showed their talents in the state contests for chamber music (ensembles of 2-16 individuals) and solo music last weekend. On Friday, May 2, 18 singers went to Mt. Hood Comm. College and sang in 4 different categories. All gave fantastic performances and represented very well. Glencoe Tenors/Basses of chamber placed 2nd in state in the large tenor/bass category. On Saturday, May 3, Freshman Greyson Rowe sang at the State Solo Contest in the Baritone Category and placed 5th in state. One of the judges, a voice professor of Glencoe music teacher Melissa Reed at Oregon State, reached out to let her know how competitive that category was, and what an accomplishment it is to have placed 5th. Congratulations again Greyson and all the students who attended - well done! You make us all, Proud to be HSD! Scroll down to see photos...
