- Gym Repairs
After discovery of roof truss deficiencies during seismic work, the gym (and underlying cafeteria) were closed as a safety precaution while repairs are being made. These include structural engineering and installation of steel beams to provide additional support for the gym's roof trusses. In the meantime, a temporary gym is being rented and constructed at the back of the school to provide space for PE and other activities for students until the existing gym is repaired. The temporary gym is expected to be ready by the end of October.
- Building Improvements
Groner underwent extensive renovations throughout the building, including safety and seismic upgrades, roofing and domestic water pipe replacement. During this work, deficiencies were discovered in a roof truss in the gym, requiring repairs.
- Flexible Furniture
Flexible furniture (FFE) was delivered in summer 2018. Research shows this type of furniture enhances the learning environment and increases student engagement.
