  • Liberty High School is hosting the Best Buddies Friendship Walk for the state of Oregon on Saturday, May 15th! It's all about celebrating and honoring our students and community members with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) and coming together to be friends. The in-person option will take place from 10am-12noon, and it's free to register.  People can opt to walk on their own as well due to Covid. To register click link below.

We have Wash Co disability services, Project Search, Abilities Training, Voc Rehab & many more to  tell you about their services and how you can access if needed.  Come join us for a night of information via Zoom.

Student Services

    Mission: HSD staff engages and challenges all learners to ensure academic excellence through learning opportunities that are accessible, inclusive and personally meaningful.

    The department's work on implementing inclusive practices, standards-based Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s), and trauma informed care practices helping to ensure students who are pre-K through age 21, have every opportunity to excel in our district.

    Elaine Fox, Ed.D Executive Director Elaine Fox completed her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) at George Fox University in February, 2016. She began her teaching career in a private home in Japan in 1993 after earning her Bachelor's Degree at Willamette University. Upon completing her Master's at University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, she accepted a position as a High School Teacher at the Levi Anderson Learning Center at St. Mary's Home for Boys in Beaverton. She then became the Interim Administrator for the Center from January 2000 until June 2002, at which point she joined the Special Education team in the Beaverton School District. Elaine came to Hillsboro in 2006 as a Special Education Facilitator, left the following year to lead the Student Services department in Banks, then returned to Hillsboro as a Director of Student Services in 2008. She has been Executive Director of Student Services since July 2012.
