Community Partnerships

  • North Plains Elementary School is very proud of the community partners that we work with.

    The Knights of Pythias is a fraternal group whose charity, benevolence and friendship supports the community and especially our school. They help ensure that all students are able to participate in all activities fully whether it is making sure they can go on field trips, have ample supplies or the equipment required for outdoor school. They also make sure that all the community's children have bicycle helmets. They have also donated an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED) to the city to make sure all citizens are safe. Each year they sponsor the Pythina Students of the Year which is given to a sixth grade boy and girl who demonstrate the Pythian characteristics of friendship, charity and benevelence.

    The City of North Plains and its various organizations help us throughout theyear and are closely connected to the school. The North Plains' Police Department support us with safety, and are always a phone call away. Chief Jesse stops in frequently to check in, and officers often attend nightly and weekend events.  Tualitin Valley Fire and Rescue provides students, teachers and the community fire safety resources, instruction on preventitive procedures, and top notch emergency service. The North Plains'Public Works Department\ is always available to make sure our water, gas is operable, plows our driveways when it snows and even donated two handicapped accessible picnic tables for our Xeriscape Learning Lab.
