Schools Offering Dual Language
Hillsboro School District is proud to offer a strong and growing network of Dual Language schools from preschool through high school. Our programs are located across the district and are open to all families through the lottery or transfer process. We have two elementary schools that offer a school wide dual language program. This means that all students have the opportunity to access dual language.
Whether you are just starting in PreK or continuing through middle and high school, we are committed to providing a high-quality, bilingual learning experience every step of the way.

Start Years and Entry Points
- Most students begin the program in kindergarten, where foundational language development begins.
- First grade is the latest guaranteed entry point through the lottery (depending on language balance and space).
- Preschool Dual Language is available at selected sites and helps prepare students for a smooth transition into kindergarten.
- Entry into upper grades (2nd–12th) may be possible for students with prior Dual Language experience or native Spanish proficiency. These are reviewed individually.
