Fencing and Gates
Perimeter fencing and gates are the first ring of physical security infrastructure around a building. With gates locked during the school day, instead of trying to access back doors, campus visitors are steered to the front entrance of the school where the main office staff can prescreen them for entry into the building. An added benefit is that fencing also deters wandering students from running from playfields into parking lots.
Throughout the bond, fencing projects were implemented as part of building renovations as well as stand-alone additions. As a result, all schools now have fencing around their campuses. Here are some examples:
