2018 - Playground, Modular, FFE
Playground, Modular, FFE
A visit to the school in October shows the bond projects being actively utilized by the students. This was a successful launch of bond work at Farmington View - next up are renovations to the building and improvements to the bus/parent dropoff areas in summer 2021.
The flexible furniture takes on different configurations depending on the classrom. Storage options allow students to hang their backpacks underneath the desk, on their chair, or in their cubbies.
New classroom technology includes new projectors and screens.
The modular building houses two classrooms and a restroom (so students no longer need to go into the main building).
Students enthusiastically try every feature on their new playground, run on the rubberized tile surface, and play on the all-weather turf play area.
(Above) Installation of the play structure is complete. Next is the installation of the rubberized tile over the concrete base.
(Below) Trenching and pipework continue around the new modular building.
The crew is wrapping up the installation of the play structure.
Photo 2: Work has started on installing the play structure. The swing set is in place, and holes are being dug for additional posts for the rest of the structure.

As soon as school dismissed for the summer, our contractors started on their summer 2018 projects.
Outside, the playground was being cleared in preparation for the new play structure and play area (also see renderings). The portables will be demolished and removed to make way for a new, two-classroom modular building.
Inside, old furniture was being removed to make room for new flexible furniture.
