Photos 1-2: after admission into the foyer of the vestibule, visitors are required to continue into the main office. Once card access readers are installed, authorized staff may use their key cards to continue past the vestibule doors into the building.
Photo 3: a vestible doorway limits access into the stairway; the stairs and door can continue to be used as exits.
Photo 4: the completed vestibule as viewed from the main hallway of the building.
Photos 1-3: storefront frames and doors, and most of the glass have been installed in the new vestibule. One set of doorways leads to the main hallway, while the other leads to the stairs. Both sets limit unauthorized entry, requiring visitors to check into the main office.
Photo 4: the hall doorway was inserted into a cut made into the tile artwork, which enabled preservation of the rest of the artwork.
Photos 1 and 2: painting has been completed in the entry vestibule and frames for the doors stand ready for installation in the new doorway.
Photo 3: the frames will be installed against the area cut into the tile artwork, under the constructed header. The cutting was necessary in order to preserve the rest of the artwork.
Photos 1 and 2: painting has started in the renovated vestibule.
Photos 1 and 2: sheetrock has been added to the new vestibule framing and is being taped up to prepare for painting.
Photos 1-3: work continues on security pathways and cabling for the vestibule.
Photos 1-2: the frame has been constructed above the vestibule for the new set of doors. The doorway is being constructed to minimize impact on the tile artwork.
Photo 3: the front of the office has been re-framed to adjust window and door spaces for the new configuration.
Photos 1-3: some demolition work is taking place as part of the remodeling of the front entry vestibule to upgrade security.
