Photo 1: temporary shower fixtures have been installed in the locker rooms until the specified fixtures arrive after shipment delays. This will enable student-athletes to take hot showers in the meantime.
Photo 2: the new water heaters have both been delivered and installed in the utility room, fed by the new water pipes.
Photo 3: the last bit of shrouding will be installed before the crew does the final cleanup and awaits installation of the new shower fixtures.
Photo 1: in the bathrooms, protective shrouding has been added to the plumbing for the sinks as well as the new pipes leading to the toilets.
Photo 2: copper pipe has been installed in the utility room to prepare for installation of the new water heaters.
Photo 3: the first of two new water heaters has arrived; the second will be delivered shortly.
Photo 4: new pipes for the showers are being installed. Until the shower fixtures can be delivered and installed, temporary facilities will be made to enable showering (albeit cold ones).
Photos 1 and 2: shrouding has been installed as protection over the replaced pipes.
Photo 3: copper supply pipe has replaced the old PVC that connected the main water line to the utility room, where the new water heaters will be installed.
Photos 1-3: pipe replacements continue in the restrooms. Shipments of shower fixtures are expected soon; the new water heaters are currently delayed until early fall.
Photos 1-3: copper and plastic pipes are replacing the old plumbing lines in the locker rooms and restrooms. The pipe is installed externally to avoid cutting into the tiled walls and will be covered with protective sheathing.
Photo 4: old shower fixtures have been removed from the locker rooms.
As part of the domestic water pipe replacement, the old water heaters and plumbing are being removed. They will be replaced with more efficient equipment and new pipes.
