Crew members have installed reinforcing braces in the tunnels underneath the building's hallways and are now fastening and tightening the braces.
These tunnels underneath a couple of the hallways in the building will be reinforced over two weeks to resolve some sagging of the floors.
Photo 1: ceiling tiles have been installed in the nearly-complete phase 4 renovation at Poynter.
Photo 2: walls have been sealed up to cover the conduit for HVAC units in classrooms.
Photo 3: the small, auxiliary gym has been freshly-pained.
Photos 1 and 2: ceiling tiles are being installed to cover the underlying pipes and conduit in the phase 4 hallway.

Photo 2: the classroom HVAC units are operational; on this cold, wintry day, the heat was running nicely.
Phase 4 renovations continue. Walls are being sheetrocked and insulating sheathing is being added to plumbing pipes.
Phase 4 renovations started at the end of October, with expected completion by Dec. 20, 2019, two months ahead of schedule.
Phase 3 renovations have been completed.
Phase 3 renovations are nearing completion.

Photos 1 and 2: students arrive for their first day of school in the renovated sections of the building and try out their new lockers.

Photos 1 and 2: the wood floor is completely installed in the small gym and awaits final sanding and coating, while work in the main gym continues.
Photos 3 and 4: domestic water pipe is being replaced throughout the building.
Photo 5: electrical conduits and wiring are being installed in the ceiling.
Photo 1: New wood flooring is being installed in the small gym, replacing the flooring from the '60s that was original to the building.
Photo 2: Roofing work continues, which includes repairs, adding new insulation (white stacks) and reroofing.
Photo 3: Inside the main building, walls and ceilings are exposed so that seismic and HVAC ductwork can be done.
Photo 4: Copper pipes are replacing the old domestic water piping.
Portables are being installed on the north side of campus. These will house temporary classrooms, beginning in the fall through the end of construction, as interior classrooms in the building are being renovated with seismic, HVAC, roofing and other upgrades.
Crews continue with the roofing upgrades above the small gym; work is about 50 percent complete in this area.
