Two Liberty High School Students Earn NCWIT AiC Award

April 12, 2019 - Congratulations are in order for Liberty High School’s Anna Meneely and Rachel Loberger! The Oregon and SW Washington branch of the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) selected them as Regional Winners of the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Award. This award honors women in grades 9 through 12 who are active and interested in computing and technology, and encourages them to pursue their passions. AiC recipients are chosen for their demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance, and plans for post‑secondary education. Both Anna and Rachel participate on FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams - Anna on Team 4488 Shockwave and Rachel on Team 6443 AEMBOT – and both will be headed to Houston, Texas, April 16-20, 2019, to compete in the World Robotics Championships.
