June 9, 2021 - Congratulations are in order for Glencoe High School's Austin Stampflee, Robert Hendrix, Amari Hendrix, Gavin Amstad and Jayda Lee. Finishing third in the Men's 4x100 relay among some tough competition and representing Glencoe for the first time in a long time wrapping up an incredible season, running their fastest time of the year when it really counted. In the Field events, senior Jayda Lee won Glencoe's first ever Discus State Championship with a throw of 152', winning by a margin of 19 feet. Jada cleared the school record tying height to secure herself a 5th place finish in the Women's high jump. In shot put, on her 5th throw, she threw a distance of 41'2.5" to achieve first place and became the first female track athlete in Glencoe history to win a state championship in two events.
