January 18, 2023 - Liberty Unified Falcons Basketball team had their first league game last night against Sherwood Unified Bowmen. Liberty lost 38 - 35, almost tying it up with a 3 point attempt at the buzzer. Liberty fought hard with Tyler King leading the team's scoring with 20 points and also led his team with 5 steals. Alex Araiza Martinez, a basketball rookie, led the team with 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 7 points. Other stellar contributors were Sydney Gonzalez with 10 points and Jasen Sing with 6 points. Alim Timm made his rookie debut and promises to be back for more. Katie Jaspar and Mitch Mahlum kept the team fighting with their many rebounds and assists. Well done students! Go Falcons!
