Liberty Robotics Team AEMBOT Wins Championship

April 9, 2024 - We are thrilled to announce that Liberty High School's robotics team, AEMBOT, has won the Pacific Northwest District Championship for the first time! They achieved this milestone by teaming up with the Flaming Chickens from Caitlin Gabel High School and the Issaquah Robotics Society from Issaquah High School. This victory secures their spot in the upcoming world championship in Houston, Texas, later this month. This is the first time in nine years that an Oregon team has won this championship.

AEMBOT demonstrated their exceptional skills and teamwork, outperforming 127 teams from the northwest and now ranking among the top 100 teams globally in a pool of almost 10,000 teams. This achievement is a testament to the leadership of Steffan Legerwood and the invaluable guidance of dedicated mentors, as well as the generous sponsorship from the Hillsboro Elks 1862, Duyck Machine Inc., Davis Tool Inc., and VR Motion.
