Glencoe and Hilhi Students Gold Award Project
August 8, 2017 - This story of student achievement comes from 2017 Glencoe graduate, Ashley Felsch who last April was working on her Gold Award project, the highest achievement for a Girl Scout. For her project, she and her fellow students from Glencoe and Hilhi, promoted agricultural education by teaching one-hour workshops in 32 2nd grade Hillsboro classrooms. The workshop explored the Oregon dairy industry, the benefits of good nutrition, and basic horticulture skills. Pictured here are Ashley (right) and Emily Moore (left) at Farmington View Elementary dressed in FFA official dress. FFA is a youth development program that promotes agriculture and life skills for future generations. Well done students!
