GHS Health Sciences Students Give Back

November 29, 2018 - On top of rigorous studies in human anatomy & physiology and medical terminology and a senior internship through the Health Sciences program at Glencoe, students are given the opportunity to provide community service in a variety of ways. Students help with vision and hearing screenings at HSD elementary schools, serve as My Future, My Choice Teen Leaders, and, for the last two years have partnered with Rebuilding Together Washington County (RTWC) on community projects. Last month, students helped a Vietnam veteran by cleaning up his property to make it safer for him. The Glencoe Health Sciences program has also adopted McKinney park and has cleaned, weeded, and repainted tables and benches. These students have demonstrated their commitment to the well-being and health of our community and make us Proud to Be HSD.
