Glencoe Students Present at Seattle Astronomy Conference

January 9, 2018 - On Tues., Jan. 8, Glencoe High students Maddie Moradi and Sierra Child presented their research poster on Age Estimates of Star Clusters at the 233rd meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Seattle, Washington. An especially high honor as their work was presented alongside research from college students and professional astronomical organizations. Included in the after-school Glencoe Astromony Research Club are Grace Frey, Nate Gong, Rhiannon Gabrielsen-Shimp, Laura Mack, Meghan Taylor and Sabine Tronco who contributed greatly to the project and were proud to send Maddie and Sierra to represent them in Seattle.  This project was a collaboration between teachers and students from Glencoe High School, Breck School in Minnesota and Carmel Catholic High School in Illinois.Well done Maddie and Sierra!
