Washington County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program
March 15, 2019 - The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications through Friday, Apr. 12, from students ages 14-19 who are interested in becoming Explorers. The Explorer program trains young people in land navigation, wilderness survival, self defense, first aid, criminal law, and much more. Applicants must meet and maintain the minimum requirements, including a willingness to commit to the program for two years. Informational meetings are being held on Monday, Mar. 18, at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Mar. 30, at 10 a.m. at the Sheriff’s Office Headquarters in Hillsboro, 215 E. Adams St.
