March 11, 2019 - Every ten years, per the U.S. Constitution, a population count - or census - is taken. The census asks questions that provide a snapshot of the nation. Results determine the number of seats each state has in Congress and guides how more than $675 billion in federal funding is distributed to states and communities. Local community members, especially those who speak languages other than English, are asked to join the Census team to help people complete the census.
