Congratulations Mrs. Maher!

Mrs. Maher, who taught at Lincoln Street Elementary before joining HOA, has won the Crystal Apple Award!

For the past 15 years, the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce has honored educators in our community with the annual Crystal Apple Excellence in Education Awards. Mrs. Maher was nominated by the LSES community and received her nomination last winter.

Recipients of the coveted awards in the categories of classified, licensed, and administrator were scheduled to be announced at the Crystal Apple Awards Dinner on May 7th, but the ceremony was cancelled due to COVID restrictions.  The Chamber of Commerce has been awarding the recipients during virtual meetings and Mrs. Maher was given her Crystal Apple on November 18 during a staff meeting.
