The Oregon Department of Education (ODE), in partnership with Oregon Lottery, is pleased to announce the Oregon Education Support Professional of the Year program to honor support staff who exemplify accountability, equity, excellence, and integrity. Nominations accepted through Wednesday, February 11.
Nominations are being accepted now through Monday, February 16, for the 2026 Crystal Apple Awards, sponsored by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. These awards recognize staff members in the categories of licensed, classified, and administrator/supervisory-technical who exemplify excellence in education. Nominees will be celebrated at an event on Thursday, April 23, at the Walters Cultural Arts Center.
Pamplin Media and CMG Oregon Newspapers are soliciting nominations of outstanding educators for their Amazing Educator Awards. Anyone who works in our schools is eligible for consideration. Winners from each community served by CMG papers will be featured in a special publication in the month of February. Nomination deadline is January 20.

HSD and the University of Portland have partnered to offer teachers an in-district program leading to an ESOL endorsement. Learn more about the opportunity at a virtual information session taking place at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 5.
